The Captain's Christmas is a 1938 The Captain and the Kids cartoon.
Plot[]
Notes[]
- This is one of two cartoons in the series in color, the other being Petunia Natural Park.
- This is the only cartoon where Long John Silver is not voiced by Mel Blanc; he is instead voiced by Billy Bletcher with Charles Bennett providing his singing voice.
Censorship[]
When this cartoon was shown on Cartoon Network's animation history show, ToonHeads (on an episode about Christmas-themed cartoons), the scene of one of the kids playing with a wind-up slow-shuffling black man and The Captain shooting at the toy to make it dance faster was cut.
