Meathead is an animated cartoon character created by Tex Avery for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. The dog made his debut in the 1944 Tex Avery-directed Screwball Squirrel. He is an adversary of Screwy Squirrel.
He is a blue gray guard dog with a red shiny nose. He is quite slow, dimwitted.
He made a cameo appearance in the 1988 Disney/Touchstone film Who Framed Roger Rabbit when Eddie Valiant is walking around the Maroon Cartoon studio alongside Benny Burro.
