Meathead is an animated cartoon character created by Tex Avery for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, not to be confused with the cat of the same name.
Description[]
The dog made his debut in the 1944 Tex Avery-directed Screwball Squirrel. He is an adversary of Screwy Squirrel.
He is a blue grey guard dog with a red shiny nose. He is quite slow and dim-witted.
He made a cameo appearance in the 1988 Disney/Touchstone film Who Framed Roger Rabbit when Eddie Valiant is walking around the Maroon Cartoon studio alongside Benny Burro.

Notes[]
- Meathead's appearance and mannerisms would later influence the Terrytoons character, Dimwit Dog who first appeared in 1946 and would star in shorts until 1960.
