Dumb-Hounded is a 1943 Droopy cartoon directed by Tex Avery. This cartoon is notable for being the debut of Tex Avery's MGM star, Droopy.
Plot
A wolf escapes from a prison and all of the bloodhounds go to capture him. But one of the dogs, Droopy, stays behind and says "Hello all you happy people. You know what? I'm the hero" and walks off to find the wolf. The wolf goes into hiding but is confronted by Droopy everywhere he goes. The rest of the cartoon focuses on the eager wolf running away from Droopy with each attempt failing. Droopy eventually drops a boulder on the wolf and he is captured.
