Big Heel-Watha (Buck of the Month) is an animated short that was made in 1944 by Tex Avery. It is the third cartoon of the Screwy Squirrel series. In this cartoon, Screwy visits a native village.
Plot[]
Big Heel-Watha is part of an Indian tribe that is dangerously short on food. The Chief orders his men to go out and hunt. The person who brings food back to the tribe will win the hand of the Chief's beautiful daughter, Minnie-Hot-Cha.
While hunting, Big Heel comes across Screwy Squirrel. The cartoon becomes a series of comical traps and slapstick as Big Heel tries to capture Screwy. Finally, Big Heel admits defeat and bawls his eyes out. To make him feel better, Screwy decides to agree to become the tribe's dinner.
Big Heel brings Screwy back to the tribe and the Chief approves of him marrying his daughter. But once Minnie's veil is lifted, there is a hideous face underneath, scaring away Big Heel, the Chief, and the rest of the tribe. Screwy calls after them, saying that they "will be sorry", right before he tears Minnie's face off, revealing her face to be a mask. Underneath is a breathtakingly beautiful woman. Minnie offers Screwy a kiss. When Screwy reaches in to kiss her, he ends up kissing Big Heel instead.
